Alto*Contraste - ou A*C - é um projeto de arte urbana que existe desde 2005. Até meados de 2017 foi uma dupla com Lygia Lee e atualmente segue tocado por Lou Dedubiani.
O universo do A*C quase sempre gira em torno de personagens carregados de ambiguidade, estranhamento e uma pitada de desajuste social, muitas vezes remetendo ao ser humano no que tem de mais pitoresco e paradoxalmente universal. Assim é também com o urso amarelo – seu personagem mais conhecido – talvez o arquétipo perfeito do ser humano em toda a sua ambiguidade: ao mesmo tempo que nos remete à fofura dos ursinhos Teddy, nos lembra que em sua essência, o urso é um dos animais mais selvagens e imprevisíveis do mundo.
Além das ruas, a arte do A*C já esteve em diversas mostras coletivas pelo mundo: Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Glasgow, Londres, Melbourne, Cidade do México, Nova York e Paris. Esteve presente também em importantes publicações de arte urbana pelo mundo e alguns grandes festivais, com destaque para a primeira edição do Cans Festival (2008), em Londres, onde Lou e Lee trabalharam a convite do artista Banksy.

Alto*Contraste - or A*C - is a street art project that has been around since 2005. Until 2017 it was a duo with Lygia Lee but since then it has been running with Lou Dedubiani.
A*C’s universe revolves around characters filled with ambiguity, estrangement and a hint of social maladjustment, often referring to the human being in it’s most picturesque and paradoxically universal.It´s the same with the yellow bear – his best-known character – perhaps the perfect archetype of the human being in it’s full ambiguity: at the same time that it bring us the cuteness of the Teddy bears, it remind us that in essence, the bear is one of the wildest and most unpredictable animals in the world.
Beside the streets, the art of A*C has already been in several group shows around the world: Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Glasgow, London, Melbourne, Mexico City, New York and Paris. A*C was also presented in important urban art publications around the world and some major festivals, with emphasis on the first edition of the Cans Festival (2008), in London, where Lou and Lee worked at the invitation of artist Banksy.
